Not a changelog. A lab notebook about what appeared, what failed and what the town taught us.
Reverse order
The newest questions stay on top.
Each entry keeps the same shape: hypothesis, change, what appeared, and the next question the town forced us to ask.
08:00A system changed.
13:10A Being reacted.
21:40The chronicle found the mark.
Emergences
Behaviors nobody scripted, produced by small rules rubbing together.
Scientific insight
Relationships of convenience don't set on their own
Hypothesis
Spending time together is enough to build a bond.
Change
Without contact, each bond drifts slowly toward the level set by the two's trait chemistry.
What appeared
Two with poor chemistry forced to share a shift rise a little through familiarity, but the moment they stop overlapping the tie deflates. Going against chemistry needs constant upkeep.
Next question
Which bonds survive a change of shift or neighborhood, and which were just proximity?
Scientific insight
Bad moods huddle too
Hypothesis
Each Being feels its own; emotions are private.
Change
A sour encounter spreads some anger or gloom to the other; and Beings tend to gather.
What appeared
One sour Being tints those beside it, who carry it into their next chat. Under economic strain, one's distress becomes everyone's bad atmosphere — though decay keeps it from becoming a wildfire.
Next question
Should the chronicler detect a "bad day for the town" as a fact, not just scattered grumpy Beings?
Scientific insight
The grudge that grows in the dark
Hypothesis
A relationship only changes when both interact.
Change
A neurotic Being chews on its worst wound alone: affinity falls and its mood sours, with nothing new happening. And the grudge lasts longer the more neurotic it is.
What appeared
The bond rots in silence; the resulting bad mood turns it curt with the next passer-by, and spreads.
Next question
When does all that brooding finally erupt into a confrontation worth recording?
Scientific insight
The town found itself a shoulder to cry on, unprompted
Hypothesis
Roles (the confidant, the mediator) will have to be assigned.
Change
Venting eases the one who unloads; a calm listener barely feels it, and an agreeable one even grows the bond by listening.
What appeared
A calm, agreeable Being becomes everyone's confidant —and mediates others' rifts— with no role handed to them.
Next question
What if that role professionalizes: getting paid to listen?
Scientific insight
Too much talent costs you the job
Hypothesis
If we must cut, the worst worker goes.
Change
When a place cuts posts, it drops the worst FIT: the most over-qualified.
What appeared
The one wasted in a humble post is first out — and unemployment sours their baseline mood too.
Next question
Will they seek a post worthy of them, or settle low out of need?
Scientific insight
Two do the same job for different pay, and nobody decided it
Hypothesis
A job's wage should be one number.
Change
The job's wage breathes with demand, but each Being seals its own on arrival and keeps it.
What appeared
Whoever joined while the place was overpaying out of desperation keeps that pay; whoever joined in lean times earns less. Same job, different arrival time.
Next question
When does that gap become a grievance someone notices?
Scientific insight
The day huddles appeared that nobody programmed
Hypothesis
Making a town feel social will need a "group" mechanic.
Change
None. There's only one-to-one attraction —each Being picks ONE partner by affinity— and live pursuit: it walks up to them.
What appeared
When several pick the same person, or their choices chain together, their paths converge on one spot and a spontaneous huddle is born. If that person heads home, the group follows.
Next question
Should the chronicler name those huddles ("half the square ended up chatting at Héctor's place") as a social fact, instead of as loose chats?
What happens when the town keeps moving without you
Hypothesis
Absence is the product loop: leave, return, care.
Change
The town simulates missed time locally and returns with a filtered chronicle.
What appeared
The important question stopped being what happened every hour and became what changed.
Next question
How do we preserve enough facts for memory without keeping every tick?
The day an asymmetric bond mattered more than a mission
Hypothesis
A relationship should not mean the same thing on both sides.
Change
Affinity and hurt became directional. One Being can warm while the other gets tired.
What appeared
Vera could return to Tomás again and again while Tomás quietly moved further away.
Next question
When does repeated imbalance become an episode worth remembering?
When the pantry turned personality into economy
Hypothesis
Hunger should reveal planning, not behave like a simple bar.
Change
Food became three acts: buy pantry, cook portions, eat when hungry.
What appeared
Responsible Beings prepared early. Chaotic Beings improvised, spent more, or went hungry.
Next question
How should the chronicle tell money pressure without sounding like accounting?
Work is not just salary
Hypothesis
A job should create routine, pressure and forced encounters.
Change
Jobs gained qualification, salary, places, demand and underemployment.
What appeared
Work became social geography: who must be where, who meets daily, who feels wasted.
Next question
What happens when lateness, warnings and dismissal enter the town?
No profiles, circumstances
Hypothesis
Roles should appear from pressure, never from labels.
Change
Every new idea is translated into personality, need, memory and opportunity.
What appeared
The same Being can be kind, avoidant, brave or selfish depending on the day.
Next question
Which pressures leave marks deep enough to become biography?
Genesis must be memory, not power
Hypothesis
Founder status should create belonging without selling victory.
Change
The Genesis Zone is framed as remembered origin, not mechanical advantage.
What appeared
A beta promise can be emotional and commercial without breaking the ethics of the world.
Next question
What can a player buy that opens possibility but never buys destiny?
